Marvão, the day started bright and pleasant temperature

As ascertained at 9 hours, we met with the tourism technician, to guide us through the village

 

Face to the village municipal seat, short introduction to historic facts and habitants ways of life

After watching a small film, we started walking towards the castle

Marvão castle was a strategic detent fortress, orientated to the border with Spain, whose distance is only 8 miles away

Visit to the old municipal house, built in the kingdom of D. Manuel (XV/XVI century), until 1956

In the renovated St.Marys Church, the oldest Marvão temple, the Municipal Museum, where we can admire Sacred Art collections, Archeology and Etnography
